REVIEW: LUSH MASK OF MAGNAMINTY FACE AND BACK PACK

Lush's Mask of Magnaminty was recommended to me by Hayley from Waterpainted Dreams on this here little blog when I reviewed Lush Catastrophe Cosmetic Fresh Face Mask as I don't like things that are cold and wet on my face. So Dave, being ever the gentleman, took it upon himself to get me this one as part of his spree of early birthday gifts (he really is a good egg!).

The powerful scent of mint instantly hits you as soon as you open up the screw top packaging which is refreshing. It's a dirty mint-green colour and has the same consistency and texture as a lot of the fresh face masks from Lush. It's easy to apply but slightly messy so I wouldn't want to just slap this on anywhere but near to a sink. Designed to fight break-outs and blemishes it can be used on the face, neck, shoulders or back to quickly clear up any little eruptions.

THEY SAY: This peppermint mask does everything it can to fight eruptions and outbreaks and return your skin to tip-top condition.

I SAY: As it's left to work on the skin, the mask cools and starts to tingle. It was so powerfully scented that it made my eyes water during the first use but it was something I quickly got used to and, although it took quite a bit of time to scrub this off my face once it had been on for the required 10-15 minutes, my skin was left feeling really refreshed and clean. With recurring use I have noticed a substantial lessening of pimples although this is just on my face (I don't feel the need to use it on my back).

Would I recommend it? Yes. I will be sure to pick up one of these when my spending ban is over. It's such a great mask and I'm really grateful that Hayley recommended it otherwise I would never have thought to try it.

Lush Mask of Magnaminty is available in Lush stores across the UK and online. RRP: £4.95 (125g).

  1. I love this one and if you think about how many uses you can get out of the pot it's not very expensive xx
