REVIEW: DIORSKIN FOREVER FLUID FOUNDATION

I am very proud to introduce my new foundation! Eep! I am so excited about this Diorskin Forever Fluid Foundation and even more happy that I get to wear it every day.

When it comes to base products I am most definitely a high-end girl. Don't get me wrong - there are some much loved drugstore foundations on the market that other bloggers have absolutely raved about. I just think that what you pay for is what you get and as long as the base is perfect the rest will come together no matter what...

Last week, Monday, when Dave and I went to Manchester (a fraught experience considering that Dave has never been in Manchester city centre and he didn't want to be 'lost' *eye roll*). I told him I needed a new foundation as soon as I get any Birthday money through, as my Estee Lauder bottle had separated and changed colour. He offered to buy it for me as another Birthday present which is how we ended up in Selfridges (with me hiding my Primark bag). My boyfriend really is a good egg.

We (meaning 'I' - Dave simply gawped at the pretty assistants in the beauty hall) browsed the different brands until I settled upon Dior. I love Dior. The sales-assistant asked if I needed any help and I bombarded her with my needs and requirements.

'I want a fluid foundation - medium coverage. I don't want anything too sheer and if it's too heavy I won't be able to wear it. I want to see my freckles. I have combination skin - oily T-zone with dry cheeks. I need something with some longevity too as I work in a horrible environment that isn't make-up friendly. I would like a skin match too please. Nothing too warm or too cool. I have pink-toned skin though.' I told her.

She just blinked at me before smiling and hurrying to get some samples.

I love being a beauty blogger sometimes - it comes in so useful.

Eventually I got skin matched to the Diorskin Forever in 010 (which is Dior's lightest shade).

THEY SAYDiorskin Forever Fluid Foundation provides a new generation of fusional wear, fluid foundation. Its ultra–sensorial texture, bursting with made–to–measure perfecting skin care ingredients, melts into the skin for an absolutely perfect complexion that lasts all day long. The foundation blends seamlessly with the skin for a smoother, more even complexion day after day.

I SAY: Application is easy and non-greasy, perfected by using my Real Techniques Stippling Brush. Even though my skin is combination this foundation stays perfect all day - it really does hydrate any dry skin whilst staying matte in any oily areas. The colour is the perfect match for me - although I can see myself buying the shade above for the summer but that isn't a problem really. There is no scent to the foundation and it soothes any blemishes, taking away the glaring redness of them with ease. Concealer is needed less often now. I love it. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Diorskin Forever Fluid Foundation is available at Dior counters across the country as well as online at Selfridges. RRP £31.00.

  1. I got this from Jenner's in Edinburgh back in April and I've barely made a dent in it! Such a fab foundation, will definitely repurchase once I (eventually) run out :)

  2. I used this for years and absolutely loved it but all of a sudden it wasn't having the same effect and the lady on the dior counter said my skin had probably changed! I was so gutted as this is without a doubt the best foundation i've ever used. I'm still searching for one that does the same that is about the same price! Enjoy - this is an amazing foundation!
