After falling in love with the Wet'n'Wild Icon Eyeshadow Trio in 'Walking On Eggshells' I already knew that these trios, 'Sweet As Candy' and 'I'm Getting Sunburned' were sure to be just as good.
I asked Sophie to pick me the 'Sweet As Candy' trio up when she offered to bring me a few bits back from her adventures in the States on Twitter and I won the 'I'm Getting Sunburned' trio from her giveaway afterwards. Both trios are encased in the cheap packaging that comes with drugstore brands like Wet'n'Wild but I do happen to like the little slanted blending applicators included. They've come in really useful to be honest.
The great thing about Wet'n'Wild is that they're fool proof. If you're not entirely sure which look you should be creating with them they tell you - the specific parts to place the products on are embedded on the individual pans.
'Sweet As Candy' contains a white highlight/browbone, a medium brown crease colour and a pastel pink lid colour which are all reasonably shimmery. I've found the white can look really chalky if it's not blended properly but the other two colours are really pretty and easy to work with.
'I'm Getting Sunburned' (odd choice of name because I genuinely don't understand why anyone would want to look sunburned) contains a bright pink highlight/browbone shade, a very dark brown crease colour and a bright gold eyelid colour. The pink is a shade I won't use a lot but the dark brown is beautiful; it contains flecks of red and gold shimmer which look stunning (although they haven't shown up in the swatch).
These eye shadows are easy to blend, buildable and as they're unscented they're great to use on sensitive skins.
Whilst these trios are cute, easy to use and definitely worth the few dollars they cost they do get fall out pretty badly from the pan. That's not so bad in the darker shades but when they fall onto the lighter shades it messes it up. Still, I'm using them a lot at the moment and I really rate them.
Wet'n'Wild are currently available in the US only.
