Oriflame are the Sweddish equivalent of Avon. They're sold in over 60 countries across the world and have a wide range of products that all have natural ingredients and are completely cruelty free. They've been making quite an impact on the UK of late and here is the lipstick from them that I managed to get my mitts on - the Oriflame Beauty Triple Core Lipstick in 'Nude Peach'.

The gorgeous Grace organised for everyone to receive one of these lipsticks at the #julylondonmeetup and finally here are my thoughts on it...
Firstly the packaging is really stand out in my opinion. It looks so different from the usual lipstick packaging seen about purely because of the metallic blue and pink. It's a twist up bullet with a flat top. It's not particularly scented, there's a vague hint of something fruity, but it's not overly sweet like some lip products can be.

The ingredients contain Vitamin E and jojoba oils so it's nourishing and moisturising to use.

Now, onto the 'triple core' element: I like how the outer ring is the lip colour,  the middle ring is a 'gloss' and the inner core is the balm. As you can see from the swatches above it gives a striped effect, which looks a little ombre on the lips, but it can also be smudged all together with a finger to give an over colour. It's glossy and quite sheer but buildable. I find the longevity the average for any lipstick to wear on me - around 3-4 hours before I have to reapply.
I really like the colour - its a peachy toned 'my lips but better' and looks great with a neutral eye.

The only thing I've found that isn't quite me is that it's a teeny but gritty when I'm rubbing my lips together - I'm assuming it's the glitter particles in the gloss - but it's not something that puts me off wearing this lipstick. It applies really smoothly though, it doesn't drag the lips and it actually doubles as a great cheek colour too which looks fairly natural (you know what I'm like for making my products work doubly hard for me).
I think they're a fun concept and if I had the chance I would definitely pick up more colours. Having browsed the website there's a lot of other products I would love to try (their 'Rouges' blush selection has my name written all over it) and I might place an order in the future. This isn't going to be the only Oriflame review you see on this blog. I really do think this is a company that will go far in the UK.

  1. I recently tried one of Orliflame's blushes and one of their foundations and the quality of both was really great. I like the look of these lipsticks (the colour of this one in particular is really beautiful) but the sound of the texture puts me off ordering one xx
