HAPPY FACTS TO MAKE YOU SMILE

We all need a pick-me-up sometimes and one thing that always makes me feel better is the thought of all the wonderful little things in the world that are filled with happiness... So here are a few facts that I found whilst browsing the internet an many a downer of a day that really made me smile.

Every year thousands and thousands of trees grow purely because squirrels have forgotten where they've buried their nuts over winter.

Cows have best friends and get stressed when they're made to go far without them.

Penguins only ever have one partner or 'mate' and the male proposes to the female by picking out the prettiest pebble for her.

On the penguin theme - Norway once knighted one.

If you say 'My Cocaine' you sound like Michael Caine saying his own name (try it - it really works).

Baby Puffins are called Pufflings (awww).

The BBC once reported that Spaghetti grew on trees in Sweden. Cue mass call in from gardeners wanting to know how to grow it themselves. The BBC replied 'Place a string of spaghetti in a can of tomato sauce and hope for the best.'

Some window washers at Children's hospitals dress up as Super Heroes to delight the patients.

For someone somewhere in the world today is the most amazing day of their entire life so far...

  1. Aww, I love the thought of cows not wanting to go far from their best friends. I totally agree with that one, although worry because I guess that makes me a cow :/
