A wise blogger once said to me that I needed to start testing skincare items for a longer period of time before making a decision about how I feel about them. Having taken these on board I decided that with this new skincare purchase I would definitely make more notes and take longer over sampling them.

Following on from my discovery of the Good Things line with the 'Five Minute Facial' Face Mask I then went on to purchase this 'Face The Day' moisturiser which features similar ingredients to that in the face mask. I enjoyed the face mask so was expecting a similar experience.

The packaging is the usual fare from Good Things: lilac, pink and black. The information is well explained but not confusingly scientific which is what would be expected from a company aiming their skincare at the younger generations. The super fruits involved in the ingredients are all well known for their anti-oxidant and nourishing affects.

The first thing that I noticed about all of these products from the Good Things range is that they all smell amazing: fruity, sweet and good enough to eat. The white lotion isn't particularly thick but is easy enough to smooth onto cleansed dry skin. It doesn't sink in particularly quickly, as you can see from the examples above, so if you are planning to use this as a daily moisturiser then I would suggest you leave it a good ten minutes before you apply makeup. On dry skin like mine this will leave it looking very plump and give it a slightly dewy look. On oily skin I can imagine this will make it look very shiny so I wouldn't suggest that this was used by anyone with overly oily skin.

Over the month that I've been using this I haven't noticed an amazing improvement in my skin but as a 'day' moisturiser I would definitely repurchase it as it means I can rely on this to feed my skin during daylight but at night I can make sure I give it a proper boost of hydration with something much thicker.

Good Things 'Face The Day' Moisturiser RRP: £7.99. Good Things is available from supermarkets and on the Highstreet. You can also find it online. Good Things has a website and can be followed on Twitter and Facebook for launches, updates and competitions.
