WEEKLY GOALS #2

Weekly_Goals

LAST WEEK'S GOALS...
I managed to get out of bed half an hour early for five of the seven days although it was hard work because all I really wanted to do was crawl back into bed. I was travelling a lot last week though so that extra half an hour really helped when it came to keeping the house in order. That half an hour extra also helped me to achieve the worst goal of all: actually doing the ironing. I managed to get the small mound done very quickly with time to spare for a cup of tea so that pleased me. I didn't go as bold with my lip choice at work as I would have liked but it was bold considering what I usually wear. I opted for MAC 'Plumful' which gave a lovely berry look to the lip without being too over the top - it was a step in the right direction at least! I did manage to catch up with most of my recordings on Sky as my internet was playing up most of the week (even though an engineer had been out). With a lack of wi-fi I finally sat down on the sofa and zoned out. When the internet did come on I headed straight to Spotify so I could accomplish listening to an album all the way through and I choose to listen to Lorde's 'Pure Heroine' which is a fantastic album. I've flicked through it before but never actually listened (if that makes sense?). I can't recommend it highly enough - I love it!

So... 4.5/5 isn't bad for the first week and I'm rather proud of myself considering I've had a hectic week!

Onto this week's 5 goals...

1. MAKE SOUP
I've never made soup before but I've specifically bought a new hand-blender to try and spur me into making my own out of seasonal vegetables. Wish me luck - this could get very very messy indeed.

2. CHANGE MY DIET FOR THE SAKE OF MY SKIN
I spent a lot of time last week in Birmingham at the Samsara Skin Clinic, The Custard Factory, Digbeth. I learned so much but the one thing that really struck a chord with me was how what you eat can affect almost everything about your body - including your skin. I've been interested in nutrition for a while but last week really reignited that curiosity and so I'm changing my diet for the better. No doubt there'll be posts all about my research into different things so watch out for those if you want to know about what I've been finding out about.

3. BUY AT LEAST THREE CHRISTMAS GIFTS
I've been collecting the odd thing here and there for Christmas and I've even wrapped some up but as I have a large family and Dave doesn't really 'do' Christmas shopping I have to organise everything. I think three is a reasonable amount to aim for.

4. TAKE PART IN #BBLOGGERS CHAT AGAIN
I've been absent from #bbloggers for months - I used to join in all the time. I'm not sure why or how I got out of the habit of it because I used to really enjoy it. If anyone reading this could remind me then I'd be very grateful!

5. GET MYSELF SORTED WITH A PROPER EATING ROUTINE
I regularly don't eat during the day. I don't eat breakfast or lunch and if I do it's extremely rare. I just got out of the habit as a teenager and don't do it any more. If I'm hungry I may have a bag of crisps or a piece of toast but that's it. I know it's unhealthy but after learning about the effects of a bad diet I'm scared for my skin. So I'll be eating three healthy meals a day and posting about it on here after the week is over to make sure I stick to it.

What goals have you set yourself this week?

  1. On your last post with goals, I commented I'd try to do some of my own, but didn't^^. I'll try again this week, or change to easier goals. Just a curiosity: are you going to maintain the previous goals as well? That would be a tough work XD. Good luck anyway!

    1. I think some of them I will and some of them I won't - major lifestyle changes are probably going to stay with me but pushing my comfort zones with small things I think I can leave them once I've tried to achieve them. Ah good luck with any goals you do make! xxx

  2. I really need to get into a proper eating routine but I find it so hard. Cooking for one person seems like such a lot of effort and in the end I don't bother. I look forward to hearing how you get on this week :) x

    1. I know that feeling for sure! Or when you both like different things... It really is hard to do it! Still, I need to give it a good go! Thanks sweet! xxx
