REVIEW: KORRES GIFT SET FROM WHAT'S IN MY HANDBAG

The other day the lovely postman left me a black box bearing the WIMH label in my shed. I was thrilled when I wandered out there to find it as it was my final birthday gift (which I bought myself). What's In My Handbag have been doing some amazing pop-up offers recently. This set of four Korres products was only £10 and I got free postage and packaging too.

Korres is a Greek brand that set up in Athens as the first homeopathic pharmacy in Greece during the 1960s.

Korres are a brand that I have been wanting to sample for a while now. Korres is a Greek brand that set up in Athens as the first homeopathic pharmacy in Greece during the 1960s. They create only completely natural products and cosmetics that are entirely devoid of nasties like silicones, parabens and unnecessary chemicals. In this gift set I received:

Korres Wild Rose Lip Butter
Korres Milk Proteins 3 in 1 Cleansing, Toning and Eye Make-up Removing Emulsion
Korres Wild Rose 24-hour Moisturiser SPF6
Korres Evening Primrose Eye Cream SPF6

KORRES WILD ROSE LIP BUTTER - RRP £8*
I have already decided that this lip butter is now my favourite go-to beauty item of the moment. The butter is a combination of Shea butter and Rice wax which does, literally, 'melt on the lips' - as the packaging describes whilst also deeply hydrating and making my lips look healthy and shiny. The tint is subtle but it leaves a lovely sheen. There is a light rose scent to the butter which makes the whole experience of wearing it very lovely and feminine. I think that if I could have say there is one lip product I now can't live without it is this one. Perfection.

KORRES 3-IN-1 CLEANSING, TONING AND EYE MAKE-UP REMOVING EMULSION - RRP £17*
This was a lovely product to try as anything that multi-tasks is high in my estimation. It's unscented which makes it perfect for use on the eyes. It cleanses make-up well although anything stubborn requires a proper cleanser and not this emulsion unfortunately (I'm looking at you eye-liner). I think, for the price, it's a little expensive considering that it doesn't remove all make-up but it was a lovely treat to try.

KORRES WILD ROSE 24-HOUR MOISTURISER SPF6 - RRP £22*
This was the product I was least interested in. Moisturisers are products that seem to pop up everywhere in gift sets. This moisturiser is a bit of a revelation though. It's lightly scented with rose which is subtle and refreshing. It's very light and sinks into the skin beautifully which makes the wait between applying moisturiser and then the rest of your cosmetics halved. My skin felt soft, smooth and hydrated all day. The patches of dryness that I occasionally get on my cheeks haven't shown at all. Marvelous.

KORRES EVENING PRIMROSE EYE CREAM SPF6 - RRP £25*
This is a very thick eye cream. A little goes a long way - especially if you're applying it to the area around your eyes but using your ring finger to pat it in. It feels cool on the skin when first applied which makes my eyes feel more awake than any other eye cream I have tried. It's gentle and doesn't sting at all. I haven't noticed much difference to the dark circles under my eyes but I have been getting less sleep than usual this week so I don't think I can test this product properly for that at the moment. Still, I definitely prefer it to my Estee Lauder one.
