The Superdrug in my town has finally started stocking MUA. It's not a proper counter but it's one of those spinning tower things that everyone twirls so that you can't properly see what you're looking at unless you time it right and grab with the speed of light.
I did, however, managed to get hold of these five things on two separate occasions.
MUA PROFESSIONAL EYE PRIMER - £2.50
I picked this up because I am going to try wearing more eye-shadows. I don't wear enough of them and I really need to start. I think it was Lily Pebbles (What I Heart Today) that said she really loved this product (although please don't quote me on that). It boats the ability to be 'long lasting, smoothing [and] no crease'. It's a creamy light formula that looks like a concealer but actually blends onto the skin transparently. I've never had a problem with eye-shadow not staying in place but towards the end of a long day I have noticed that it smudges slightly. This primer prevents that from happening at all. I'm rather impressed to be honest - especially for the price.

MUA PROFESSIONAL 3-IN-1 EXTREME CONTOUR LINER - £2.50
It's already on record that kohl eyeliner is my nemesis but I thought I would give this a whirl anyway. For starters this liner is soft and manageable. The graphic cut of the liner works to my advantage as it keeps the line looking consistently sized whilst I apply but I can build up into a 'wing' when I want something more dramatic. It's long wearing too which is always a bonus. I don't think I'm willing to put down my trusty felt tip liner just let but this was definitely an eye-opener (pun unintended) when it comes to kohl.

MUA EYESHADOWS IN SHADES 24 & 25 (BOTH PEARL) - £1 EACH
Having seen the boom surrounding the use of MAC's 'Cranberry' eye-shadow this autumn/winter on blogs I wanted a similar colour. I think that shade 25 is a rather good dupe for it. It's still a highly pigmented eye-shadow with no product or colour fall out. I'm yet to experiment with it properly but I think it's a lovely colour none-the-less and I will definitely be trying to incorporate it a little more into my make-up. In the light of the store I thought that Shade 24 looked like a plummy-brown colour but in daylight it actually looks like a dark bronze. Either way I am not bothered as I quite like it - and it will sit comfortably with my other 'nude/neutral' colours. It has a lovely pearl finish that doesn't look too glittery - a great autumnal colour.
I think that Shade 25 is a rather good dupe [for] MAC's 'Cranberry' eye-shadow.
MUA LIPSTICK IN SHADE 3 - £1
I can't resist a lipstick and a lipstick this cheap is like a red rag to a bull. It's a great barbie pink colour that looks brighter on the lip than the bullet. That isn't a bad thing though. I own a few MUA lipsticks already and for their price I am always left feeling like I have nabbed myself a bargain. They last quite well but a slick of Lipcote over the top cements them in place. I'm sure where I am going to wear this to but wear it I will. I'm wearing it right now actually, as I type this. Somehow I just feel all summery again.
