When the lovely Grace from All That Slap was giving away this 200ml tub of Nip+Fab Pistachio Sundae Dry Skin Fix Body Butter on Twitter I just had to enter. This body butter has been mentioned all over YouTube, Twitter and blogs... And I wanted to test it out myself. When Grace tweeted me to say that I'd been a lucky winner I was ecstatic and now that I have it in my hands I think it's only fair to give it a thorough review.
THEY SAY: Indulge your senses with this intensive nourishing body butter to help repair dry skin + de-hydrated skin with a subtle comforting scent. Avocado Oil repairs and leaves skin with a healthy sheen. Honey conditions and smooths. Aquaxyl(TM) for 24 hour moisture and shine. Directions: apply liberally to clean, towel dried skin after showering, bathing or whenever skin needs a moisture boost.
I SAY: The packaging is a pastel green tub which makes it easy to find in among a lot of shower steam and the screw top is easy to take off with wet hands. So far so good. The butter is very very thick but spreads easily and sinks in rapidly. Even though it's luminous green it doesn't stain the skin or leave any green-looking residue which is always a bonus. The scent is ridiculously sweet. I imagined it would smell like nuts but it smells more like sugary-sweet bon-bons. It almost put me off but when I asked Dave what he thought he said he really really liked it (not only Dave but a lot of other men really liked it too - in fact maybe too many men commented on my scent but that's another story). The scent lingered on my skin for hours. Even when I was at work, against all of the other horrible smells I encountered, I could still smell the sweetness of my skin. It also left my skin looking shiny but not greasy which was a huge bonus.
Would I recommend this body butter? Yes. Without a shadow of a doubt. They also have three other scents: cherry tarte, mango smoothie and coconut latte. I am definitely going to try the cherry tarte and mango smoothie in the future.
Nip+Fab products are available online from their own website or Boots stores and online (currently on offer for £5.66). RRP: £8.49.

Great review this sounds lovely. I fancy trying the coconut latte one x
ReplyDeleteOooh this looks lush! So creamy and green! I don't know why but I LOVE green products! They always seem so refreshing lol!

This looks damn good, but would also pose a problem in that I'd feel compelled to eat it. I love pistachios! And pistachio ice cream, which is what this looks like.
ReplyDeleteOn a different note, this is a brand I keep hearing lots about but have never tried, so I must get on it!
