Elemis is becoming my go-to skincare brand at lightning speed. There is not one product I've tried so far that doesn't have it's distinct merits and this Elemis Freshskin Skin Glow Exfoliating Face Wash is no exception.

Just like the rest of the Freshskin range, the packaging is bright and really cheers up my plain bathroom. The product comes in a tube this time which, although not as hygienic as the pump on the Elemis Peachy Perfect Gentle Face Wash, doesn't allow too much product out at a time. This is brilliant considering I always squeeze far too much out of tubes. Containing cherry powder and jojoba as well as aniseed and mandarin, it's packed full of skin conditioning and smoothing ingredients that help to even my skin's texture and deeply cleanse. The whole Freshskin range is free from chemical nasties such as parabens, mineral oils, artificial colours and silicones whilst using natural plant extracts and is heavily formula led - meaning that the testing that goes into the Elemis Freshskin range is extensive and the final products come from finding exactly what works best. If anyone loves your skin - it's Elemis.

The scent is gorgeous. It's so fruity, sweet and awakening - it really goes make me feel open-eyed when I use this product in the mornings.

I love how this is a dual-purpose product. I'm all for being lazy when I can get away with it and this is both an exfoliator and a face wash in one. It has a gel texture that foams slightly when mixed with water, whilst the small beads gently exfoliate dead skin cells away. Traditional exfoliators are getting bad press at the moment because of the introduction of exfoliating toners which contain acids to slough off dead skin cells instead of beads. Personally, whilst I like the new toners, I still like to use bead-based exfoliators once or twice a week for a deeper clean.

In my opinion, this is gentle, doesn't scratch my skin and gives me glowing results every time. Who wouldn't want that for their skin?

Would I recommend it? Definitely. I love using it and I think it's something everyone should try out. It's also a very very good price considering that Elemis is famed for being a luxury skin care brand.

    1. It does smell great, doesn't it? A great skin product that's deep cleansing with initially break you out but keep with it and ignore the initial little spots (it's just the impurities in your skin coming out completely) and then after more uses you're skin will look amazing. It's like having a brilliant facial - they *always* cause break outs, then - after a couple of days - skin looks incredible! xxx
