MY INTRODUCTION TO ELEMIS

Elemis_Twitter_Giveaway_Win_Goodies

Elemis is a brand that I've never tried before. I've always just thought that if I got hooked on their products then it would become a very expensive habit to break. I've always heard wonderful things and I know that Elemis is a much sought after brand when it comes to skin care. They have several ranges so there is something for all skincare types and needs - and within those ranges there are a lot of star products. I was extremely lucky enough to win a Twitter giveaway by wantthelook.com. I received a lot of travel-sized goodies to try and I was ecstatic to say the least. Whilst the products I won were all fabulous I've decided to only review the stand out four on this post. If you want to know what I thought of the others please let me know in the comments below.

I started using all of the Elemis skincare products the night I got my hands on them and, after a nasty case of major hormonal break-outs, these products quite literally cleared my skin in days. DAYS. I couldn't believe it.

Elemis_Tri_Enzyme_Resurfacing_Facial_Cleanser

ELEMIS TRI-ENZYME RESURFACING FACIAL WASH

The Elemis Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Facial Wash is a light creamy cleanser that does foam slightly when mixed with water (something I was wary of at first - I feel foam is bad when it comes to skincare). It smells fresh and leaves my skin feeling cleansed but not overly tight It also leaves it feeling smooth which is something I've never achieved before without moisturizer being involved. I genuinely adore this cleanser because I truly think that it's changed my skin for the better.

Elemis_Apricot_Toner

ELEMIS SOOTHING APRICOT TONER

Of all the products I was sent I have to admit that the Elemis Soothing Apricot Toner was the one I was looking forward to using the most when I saw it included. It's received a lot of fabulous reviews. I use it after cleansing and using a different exfoliating toner. It put a small amount on a cotton pad and wipe it all over my face. It's very refreshing to use, especially after the harshness of cleansing and exfoliating, and smells gorgeous - like a very subtle bowl of apricots - not artificial or overwhelming. It leaves my skin feeling soft, hydrated and free of residue which is precisely what I want from a product like that. I also feel like I have a more radiant complexion because of it. It's very gentle so can be used on active blemishes without stinging and can go across and under the eye area without causing irritation. I can't fault it at all.

Elemis_Pro_Collagen_Quartz_Serum

ELEMIS PRO-COLLAGEN QUARTZ LIFT SERUM

I love serums but they can be so damned expensive that some times it's hard to decipher which ones are worth their ridiculous price tags and which ones are just overpriced. I have more 'youthful' skin than the skin this Elemis Pro-Collagen Quartz Lift Serum is probably aimed at to be honest but the results of using this over a prolonged period were pleasing nevertheless. I applied a small amount all over my face and neck every night before my beloved Hydraluron and moisturiser. It's lightweight and very subtly fragranced. It absorbs really quickly and doesn't leave my skin tacky or greasy looking. I definitely noticed that my skin was feeling a lot plumper and the fine lines that I've been fighting definitely looked less and less.

Elemis_Pro_Collagen_Marine_Cream

ELEMIS PRO-COLLAGEN MARINE CREAM

The first thing that I want to say about the Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream is that I adore the scent. It's very subtle, just like all of the other Elemis products, but I really like it. To me it smells lightly floral and very spa-like. The cream itself is reasonably thick, non-greasy and very quick to absorb into my skin. It smooths and hydrates instantly, giving the same smoothed and hydrated feeling to the skin hours later. I couldn't actually believe it. Even without using Hydraluron underneath this the effect is still the same: plump, moisturized skin that feels soft and pampered. I genuinely am love struck by this cream and I can't express enough how much I really want to keep this as a regular part of my skincare ritual. I only use this product at night as I feel it's too precious to use both morning and evening but it really does do the most wonderful job of hydrating my skin.
