HOW MUCH DOES MY FACE COST? WEEKEND EDITION 2013

This is the second installment in the 'What Does My Face Cost?' series that I'm currently running. I've already completed the post on my work makeup here so that leaves night out makeup to go.

Just as a bit of a disclaimer: I am not bragging about my makeup stash or how much the products I use cost. I'm simply telling you what I use on a regular basis. I realised in the last post just how silly the money I have been spending can sometimes be so I'm now experimenting with cheaper alternatives and the reviews will follow soon.
On my days off I tend to vary what I apply quite a lot but usually the main stay is neutrals as this is the shade range of a lot of my clothes. I don't wear a lot of colourful fashionable things or prints (although I am trying to change this) so the makeup gets muted down too. I do enjoy bright lipsticks and occasionally bright eye shadows but a true representation of what I wear on my days off will be the look I have photographed (badly, I admit) above.

BASE PRODUCTS
Some of the base products that I use have been featured in the previous post. They're the main stays of my base products at the moment and I love them. I smooth on primer on top of well moisturized skin before I apply foundation with a stippling brush and really buff it in so that it looks as natural as possible. After that I conceal any problem areas using a brush and my ring finger. I then contour my cheeks, around my temples, under my chin and down the sides of my nose using a pressed powder that's a couple of shades darker than my actual skin tone for a more natural look than bronzer and after that powder my T-zone so that I reduce shine if there is any. After that I apply a small amount of highlighter to the tops of my cheekbones, through the brow bone and down the center of my nose.

I have a lot more time to do my make-up on my days off and that means I can really work at getting it right, looking as natural as possible and making sure that I'm 100% happy with it.

EYE PRODUCTS
Having recently fallen head over heels for Urban Decay I use my Naked Basics palette as much as I can on my days off. The neutral shades really bring out the blue in my eyes which I love. I use the shades Walk Of Shame and Naked 2 - WOS goes all over the lid and then I use Naked 2 in the outer corner and in the crease. I blend them a lot so that they're not too obvious though. I then apply some brown khol to line my top lashes and the bottom outer waterline. A slick of black mascara completes the look. After that I fill in my brows before applying some brow gel to keep my slugs in line.

CHEEK AND LIP PRODUCTS
No look is complete for me without some form of blusher. I really love FashionistA blushes. I sweep a small amount over my cheeks just to give me a light flush. After that I apply my lipstick and the one I love the most out of my entire collection (sob, it's limited edition and I may not be able to replace it) is the one shown above. That completes my day off look.

BRUSHES
As usual I can't apply my makeup without my trusty stash of brushes and although I really want to duplicate some of the ones I use every day at the moment I am struggling along with the ones I have and washing them every other day. I have a few that I don't know where I purchased them or how much they cost so I've listed them as £1 each as a rough estimate. As before in the previous post, where the brushes have been taken from sets I have divided the cost of the set by the number of brushes in it to give an estimate of what I paid per brush.

TOTAL: £290.47

I'm not completely surprised by this total because I do use a lot of high end products that I could probably trade in for cheaper alternatives. Still, I like to use them anyway and I will use them up before I replace them. I am dreading how much my night out face costs though - I know I use a lot of products when I go out for the night so that should be interesting for next Monday.
