Occassionally I get the pleasure
of having my niece for the day when my sister is at work. It obviously depends
if I’m working or not too but if I’m not then I’m more than happy to have my
little Princess over. She loves going to the park and playing on the swings.
I’ve learned I don’t need to take a coat with me for these little trips because
she has me running about, pushing her swing, pulling her on the roundabout,
chasing her round and generally doing all the things that a normal person would
do at the gym. And after all of that I usually end up carrying her home because
she’s tired and doesn’t want to walk (I need to learn to drive).
This time to keep myself warm I
wore this burgundy beanie from eBay. I love this beanie so much (I love beanies
in general). It’s such a great fall colour and is really warm even though it’s
a fine knit. The scarf is a similar colour so I like pairing it with the hat.
It’s a really soft warm scarf that I bought in all three available colours in
my New Look when they came out last year (I think I saw something similar this year
but don’t quote me). My niece likes to wrap my scarves around her when I carry her too so the longer the ones I wear, the better - lest I should accidentally get strangled whilst sharing.
Over a long white cami I wore
this long sleeved white t-shirt. It’s a little cropped which is something I
didn’t realise until I got it home (I really do need to learn to try things on
in store) so whilst it’s colder weather and I lack any definition in the
abdominal area I layer it over things. I like the quilted detail on the
shoulders – it takes it from plain to interesting without being overtly loud
and just makes it look that little more expensive.
My go-to jeans are my Topshop
Jamie ones which were bought in a panic last December when I wore a skirt to my
first blogger meet up and ended up freezing cold. I wear them all the time so
they were definitely worth the high price tag - I wear them more than any other pair and they haven't fallen apart yet. And, as with all of the outfits
this autumn, I’m wearing my trusty Primark boots which I’ve raved on about before.
Obviously I can’t go out without
some form of statement necklace (it wouldn’t be very ‘me’ of me, would it?) so
I chose this beautiful ornate gold necklace from Primark. Dave bought it for me as a
birthday gift (well, I picked it out and he paid for it) and I just love how it
looks really elaborate against everything else that’s plain. Somehow I've lost the image for the necklace but I have a post about this season's Primark statement necklaces here so have a look at that if you're interested in seeing it.

DeleteLove the colour of the beanie, I am almost excited about the cold weather as I'm hoping to wear some of my hats and scarves which have been stored away for ages.
