LAUDER LOVE: PART #2

Following on from Part One - here, as promised, is a look at what I own from the Estee Lauder range available in the UK. I do warn you - it's quite extensive (well, considering what I own by other cosmetics lines anyway).

CLEANSERS

PERFECTLY CLEAN SPLASH AWAY FOAMING CLEANSER
This is only a sample that I received as part of a free gift with some purchases but I really am looking forward to buying a full size bottle of this. There is no particular scent but it foams up beautifully and washes off easily. It doesn't leave skin with that tight feeling that some soap-cleansers do. And the best part of it is that a little goes a long way!

TAKE IT AWAY TOTAL MAKE-UP REMOVER
This is a very creamy formula that only takes a couple of pumps to remove an entire face. Again, there isn't much of a scent but it does it's job superbly. Its unbelievably gentle on the skin and leaves it feeling soft as well as cleaned.

GENTLE EYE MAKE-UP REMOVER
This product is so gentle that when I accidentally got some in my eye I didn't feel any stinging or tingling. It just felt like I had one of my own tears welling up (although I don't suggest trying that test!). It removes stubborn eye make-up with ease, including waterproof mascara.

SKIN CARE

DAYWEAR ADVANCED MULTI-PROTECTION ANTI-OXIDANT MOISTURIZER SPF15
I didn't know much about moisturizers before I bought these. There is something very special about finding the right one. This was picked out for me as I wanted something that would protect my skin, prevent wrinkles and make my skin feel softer. This does all of that and more. It's a light creme that comes in five different application choices which is amazing. Since I started to use this my skin has never been better.

ADVANCED NIGHT REPAIR SYNCHRONIZED RECOVERY COMPLEX
This is possibly Estee Lauder's star product. Here I samples from free gifts because I am in the process of saving up for a full bottle (at £50 it's not something to simply blow a wage on). This product uses ground-breaking research from 30 years of investigation into how our DNA affects the aging process. Only 5 drops per night is needed to help turn back the clock on maturing skin. I already use this every night and although I don't have any wrinkles I am starting to find fine lines. This products smooths my skin, conquers my fear of maturing and hydrates it making it look more radiant and youthful.

ADVANCED NIGHT REPAIR SYNCHRONIZED EYE RECOVERY COMPLEX
This is something that I use on my very delicate eye area, and like it's older sister reviewed above, it does what it says on the tin. It keeps the eye-area looking even, lifts the look of black shadows and leaves the area cool and taught. I'm saving up for a full size version of this too!

BASE PRODUCTS

NUTRITIOUS VITA-MINERAL MAKE-UP SPF 10 IN '0.1'
This is more of a tinted-moisturizer than a full on foundation but the coverage is sensational and as it's highly pigmented I would rather use this than any of the more generic foundations available on the market. It's simple to apply and easy to take off. It also nourishes my skin whilst providing the perfect base up on which to apply other cosmetics. It lasts a long time and doesn't flake or go patchy. What more could ask for?

DOUBLE-WEAR STAY-IN-PLACE FLAWLESS WEAR CONCEALER SPF 10 IN 'LIGHT'
This is the perfect accompaniment to my foundation. It covers all dark circles and blemishes with ease which is obviously what I would want from a concealer. It blends easily into the skin and doesn't leave those luminous reverse panda-eyes that some concealers do. It's just perfect. I have two of these as I don't want to be without one for even a day.

LUCIDITY TRANSLUCENT POWDER IN 'LIGHT'
In the past powders have caused me frustration and regret. There were times when they were simply too dark and there were times when it was visa-versa. Nightmare! This particular powder is flawless. This one pot has lasted me since last September when it was first purchased. I don't need a lot to create a velvety finish. It doesn't go patchy or flake away either. I am officially in love.

MASCARA

LASH PRIMER PLUS
This white eyelash primer is something that I use when I want to add real 'oomph' to my lashes. It adds length and volume without creating that clumpy look so dreaded by beauty lovers everywhere.

DOUBLE WEAR MASCARA ZERO-SMUDGE LENGTHENING MASCARA IN 'BROWN'
Another product I have simply to had to double-up on (excuse the pun). It really does lengthen whilst also adding volume. It looks natural and is lightweight so it doesn't weigh my lashes down. A fabulous product. If you don't own this already - why the hell not?

SUMPTUOUS BOLD VOLUME LIFTING MASCARA IN 'BLACK'
These are once again the small samples that I received as part of a free gift. I did own a full-size version of this mascara but I used it so much that I ran out and haven't got round to buying another one since. I have these for the time-being though so that suits me fine. This is a lovely mascara with a brilliantly sized wand (in the full-size) that gets right into the corners of the eyes for full coverage. It doesn't clump easily and lasts forever. It is stubborn to remove though.

SUMPTUOUS TWO-TONE EYE-OPENING MASCARA IN BLACK/BROWN
I have already done a full size review of this product when I first purchased it. If you would like to view this review please click here.

BLUSH

PURE COLOUR BLUSH IN 'NUDE' AND 'BLUSHING NUDE'
The reason that these blush compacts look different is that the packaging changed in between the time that I purchased them. They are from the same selection though. I love these blushes as they apply and blend with all the ease. As you can see from the swatches the colours are fairly pigmented but I start with a small amount and apply to the desired effect. I use the 'Nude' more than the 'Blushing Nude' more as it can also be  used to contour the face when combined with a high-lighter. They weren't cheap but they were worth every penny as once again these were purchased late last year and have lasted and lasted and lasted...

LIP PRODUCTS

PURE COLOR LIPSTICK IN NUMBERS 16 'CANDY SHIMMER' AND 61 'PINK PARFAIT SHIMMER'
I reviewed these two lipsticks, that were part of a free gift with purchase, in my Shades of Pink post which you can view if you click here.

SIGNATURE HYDRA LUSTRE LIPSTICK IN 'RICH RED'
The bullet for this lipstick looks rather intimidating when first viewed. The colour is indeed such a rich red that it is easy to be put off as thinking that it will be just too much colour. That however is false. This is a wonderful lipstick that glides on smoothly, lasts for hours without reapplication and maintains a soft shine whilst smoothing and hydrating the lips. As you can see from the swatch below the colour is rich and high in pigment but not as strong as it looks in the tube. This is my favourite red lipstick.

PURE COLOR HIGH GLOSS IN 'ROCK CANDY'
Another free gift with purchase I was a little weary of this lip gloss to start with. I don't like a lot of shimmer and this is shimmer central when judging straight from the tube. On application it provides a lovely pop of colour whilst giving more than enough shine and leaves the lips feeling soft without being overly sticky. It also smells like Bon-Bons.

EYESHADOWS

PURE COLOR EYESHADOW IN 52 'SIZZLING COPPER METALLIC'
I bought this because I wanted a golden looking eye-shadow that would really make my eyes pop and this was perfection for the job I intended it for. Although the swatch below shows purely the colour and not the subtle glitter that is evident on the eyes I would suggest buying this to anyone that is looking for a gorgeous summer shimmer. It really made my blue eyes pop too which was an extra I had not anticipated.

PURE COLOUR PURPLES PALETTE
These are really the only purple eye-shadows that I own although like so many of the products I am showcasing here they were a free gift with purchase (can you tell that I like free gifts yet?). Rather than focus on the colour I like the pigmentation content. It isn't so high that it is glaringly over the top but there is enough to create looks with ease. I also love that they apply easily and blend well.

From L to R: No30 - Sugar Cube, No26 - Iridescent Violet, No67 - Lilac Whimsy, No27 - Purple Passion

PURE COLOR MUTED GARDEN PALETTE
Free gift! This is my preferred palette out of the two that I have. It has an 'enchanted' garden feel and the colours are paired together in a way that I would never normally think to do myself. Like the purples above this palette consists of shadows that are easy to blend, apply without skill and look sensational on the lid. My favourite is the Silver Bell which actually has more an olive green tint than a grey when in the palette and it works so well with the Peacock Blue which, again, has a lovely green tinge as well.

From L - R: No10 - Ivory Slipper, No67 - Lilac Whimsy, No48 - Silver Bell, No73 - Peacock Blue

FOOT AND HAND

BODY PERFORMANCE SMOOTHING MANICURE/PEDICURE TREATMENT
This is lovely product that I was bought as a birthday gift. I would never have thought to buy this for myself but as this large bottle is almost finished I might treat myself to another. This is a multipurpose cream that makes the even the roughest of skin soft once more. I use this more on my feet than my hands as I am always walking or standing. It's part of my job to constantly be on my feet so they're always in need a R&R treat. I slather it on before covering me feet with thick socks so that my skin can soak the product in as much as possible. I'm left with super-soft tootsies after only an hour. Fantastic!

FRAGRANCE

BRONZE GODDESS CAPRI
I absolutely adore this latest scentsation from Estee Lauder! I snapped the sales girl's hand off when I bought this as it was the last one that the counter had available. I have already done a full review on this so please click here to view it.

SENSUOUS
I like my scents to be quite oriental or, in most cases, amber based and Sensuous is both of these. Jasmine overwhelms before quickly softening to make way for a peppery sandalwood note before leaving the amber to seep through. Just gorgeous.

PURE WHITE LINEN
This is actually quite fruity although from the first spray it may seem floral. There is definitely raspberry in the top note and I think that leads to honeysuckle, or some other similar floral, before having a woody base. It doesn't suit me personally but I think it would probably suit someone that likes to smell like they mean business.

BEAUTIFUL
This is very floral but romantic too. There are notes of roses and jasmine as well as a heavy amber base. It is lovely and would make the perfect summer evening scent for a mature woman. Its too floral for my tastes but the amber may sway me in the future.

PLEASURES
Another floral, which is to be expected when Estee Lauder herself favored these types of scents. This is ridiculously floral though. It has lily and jasmine combined with patchouli and simply makes me smell like I have rolled in an air-freshener. It would be perfect for anyone that likes this type of scent though as it smells to me akin to fragrances like Flower by Kenzo.

So, that was my Estee Lauder collection. I have more EL products on my wish list but at the moment I am happy to play with the ones that I already own. I heart this cosmetics brand so much I think I would be willing to take a pay-cut from my actual job to be able to work in this company as part of their sales-team. So far no jobs are available in my area though! Sad face.

Anyway I want to leave this post on a positive note and something inspiring so I have found an Estee Lauder quote that I remind myself of time to time. I hope you enjoyed reading this post and have an amazing Sunday!
