If you're a long term follower then you'll be fully aware that nails haven't really been mentioned before. This is because I used to be a nibbler and would bite my nails until they bled. There is nothing pretty about that and therefore I never felt like I wanted to show my hands off. Now that I have a full set of beautiful nails (thanks to a wonderful manicurist that has broken the habit for me forever more) I feel more than comfortable showing them off and, since growing them, I have managed to create a small but beautifully balanced collection of nail varnishes - most of which are the Barry M Gelly Nail Polishes

I'd heard wonderful things about this range and therefore they were were my first choice when starting to pick out colours to paint my nails with. I adore the chic look that gel leaves after a manicure so it was only natural to pick out shades from a brilliant selection that gave the same high gloss effect after application. The colours are all opaque within two coats and have a reasonably quick drying time although they can be a little soft, smudging easily if the layers are applied too thickly. Fairly chip-resistant without a top coat and practically bomb-proof with one, they're long lasting formulas that don't streak and leave a beautiful finish.

From powdery pastels that go hand-in-hand with spring to vampy vixen hues that suggest classy and chic, there really is something for everyone in this collection. There's also enough vibrant colours that shout out 'Summer is here' to please all tastes; and I'm sure Barry M will keeping producing colours that become must-haves for the nails with every coming season. At the moment I'm wearing Huckleberry, a pale baby-blue that looks stunning on both light skin and with a tan, and I can't get enough of it.

Do you love Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Polish as much as me? Let me know your favourite colours below.
