REVIEW: MAC TINTED LIP CONDITIONERS

petting pink

fuchsia fix

I couldn't help myself the other night. I felt the need for some MAC in my life. I bought these two tinted lip conditioners on a whim and so I bring to you, in this little post, my findings.

Firstly the price of these products is £11.00 each which isn't bad by MAC's standards but isn't exactly the most budget friendly of my recent purchases. I was expecting the pots to be a little bigger than 15ml although they're a good size for transporting about in my bag.

The texture is very smooth and they apply easily with a finger - no brush required. They're very sheer and give a lovely shimmer to the lips although they don't have a particularly big color pay-off when compared to the intensity of the products sitting in the pots. I suppose the clue was in the 'tinted' though.

They smell lightly of vanilla and do make the lips feel softer when worn over time. I also like how they don't 'gloop' either, and that the subtle color wears down gradually instead of fading in the middle of the lip but congregating at the corners like MAC lip-glasses tend to.

However...

I personally wish that I had now bought Sleek Pout Polishes instead. They're a fraction of the price (you can buy three Pout Polishes for only £1.50ish more than one MAC Tinted Lip Conditioner) and contain the same nourishing ingredients of avocado and almond oil. The color pay off is also far superior with the Pout Polishes from the reviews I have seen on other blogs.

I do want to stress that I do really like these MAC Tinted Lip Conditioners and will use both colors regularly. I especially like the 'Fuchsia Fix' as it compliments my skin tone - BUT my advice is to only splurge on them if you have the money to do so. Otherwise stick to Sleek as I should have done. Hindsight - a wonderful thing, eh?

Do you own any MAC Tinted Lip Conditioners?
What do you think of the ones showcased here?
Let me know - all comments loved and appreciated!
